AQUAMARK, INC. has successfully dewatered alum sludge from a municipal drinking water plant using geo textile tubes. The alum sludge is pumped into the geo tubes and polymer is injected into the fill line. The clear filtrate is allowed to drain leaving high consistency solids in the geo tube for disposal. If the municipal waste treatment plant is having difficulties handling the solids generated during the process of producing drinking water these Geo Tubes are a very inexpensive and quick way to dewater the solids.
